Ans. In boarding schools children do not come to home every day, like they do in case of other schools. They live in a hostel near school and they come to home on vacations.

Ans. They get every kind of food there, such as snacks, fruits, and milk in breakfast.
(c) Where do children sit and eat in a boarding school?
Ans. Children sit in the dining hall and eat together in the boarding school.
(d) Who cooks food for children in a boarding school?
Ans. A cook prepares food for the children in the boarding school.
(e) Who serves the food?
Ans. The peon serves the food.
(f) Who washes the vessels?
Ans. To wash vessels, separate staff is there.

Ans. Yes, children miss home-made food sometimes in the boarding school.

1. The ‘cooking and eating together’ in a Gurudwara is called langar. Have you ever eaten in a langar? Where and when?
Ans. Yes, I ate in a Langar; when I went to Gurudwara with one of my friends on the occasion of Gurunanak Jayanti.
2. How many people were cooking and how many were serving the food there?
Ans. About 30 people were cooking and the same number of people was serving the food there.
3. Are there other occasions when you have eaten with many people? Where and when? Who cooked and served the food there?
Ans. Yes. On the occasion of Saraswati Puja we ate together with many people. The cook prepared the food and volunteers of Puja Samiti served the food.
