We all know Santa Claus for all the wonderful festivities of Christmas. But there’s more to learn from Santa when it comes to academics!
Ho Ho Ho!
The signature laugh and the jingle bells. Who doesn’t know Santa?
But, is Santa real?
Does he really live in the North Pole?
What’s his real name?
Most of us know he is a legendary character, but some of us still would like to believe he is real. It doesn’t really matter whether Santa exists or not. That’s because believing in him is the real magic of Christmas! We get to learn from the jolly Santa in more ways than one. Let’s see what lessons we can take away from Santa when it comes to learning.
1. Consistency is Key — All Year Long
Santa does not give away gifts based on good deeds done near Christmas. He gifts children who have been good throughout the year. It may appear a little too demanding, but then you need to earn Santa’s gift, right! In the same way, good grades don’t come when you study only when exams are around the corner. Studying all year long consistently will help you finally achieve the grades you have been aspiring for.
2. Setting Goals is Important
Do you know how Santa decides what gifts to give you? According to legend, children from across the world write to Santa about the gifts they want and why they want them. In real life, whether it is in the realm of academics or outside of it, setting goals is very important. Just like we are sure of which gift we want from Santa, we should be sure of which goals we want to reach in life. Being clear about what we want to achieve in academics or in life is the first step towards achieving those goals.
3. Team-Work Makes Wonders
Santa is not alone. Even he needs friends (elves and reindeer) to help him make all those gifts that children ask for and to deliver them correctly. He and his friends working on the North Pole are a true example of teamwork. If Santa’s team can fulfill the wishes of children across the world, imagine what you could do as a team! When preparing for exams or when you simply don’t understand a concept, you can work with your classmates or friends as a team. You can study in groups and discuss concepts and doubts with your friends. This way, you can grasp concepts deeply. Also, it’s easier to recall later what you’ve learned during such group study sessions.
4. When You Work Hard, Magic Happens
Santa makes us believe in magic. He works hard throughout the year to make gifts for children. He doesn’t begin making them right before Christmas. Just like Santa, if we work hard throughout the year, we can bring magic to life. Acing those boards, scoring 95+, topping the class, anything and everything is possible through hard work. You simply have to believe in yourself, work hard, and see the magic unfold in real life!
5. Letting Go of Excess Baggage
Santa leaves the North Pole carrying a huge bag of gifts on his sleigh. As he travels around the world delivering those gifts, his baggage is reduced one gift at a time. When it comes to academics, doubts are excess baggage. They weigh you down in academics. As opposed to hauling them around, you ought to dispose of these things each uncertainty in turn. You will not just improve grades but you will also be more confident in your knowledge and understanding of concepts. Use to get rid of academic doubts quickly and instantly, at any time of the day or night! The night does not stop Santa from delivering gifts. It shouldn’t stop you either from preparing for exams and asking doubts.
With these 5 key learnings from Santa, we wish you a Merry Christmas. Carry these learnings with you and make the most of the coming new year!
